Some times you just get tired of looking at the 'same old thing'.

Did you realize how many things that are in your home that you really never see? Things that you walk right past every single day, you know that they are there, but never really look at.

There are things that you think are beautiful or really different and you cherish and all of the visitors, family and friends to your home never comment on them...don't they see them?

You have taken the time to display your things beautifully, you dust and clean them constantly and no one notices. Maybe it is because they are displayed in the wrong place.

Why don't you make use of those things and give your self esteem a boost at the same time?

Rearrange things that you already own and you will be surprised at how it can spruce up your home and give it an all new feel.

Move items that you have in your home to different rooms, make wall hangings out of a quilt etc. for an all new look:

Move pictures or wall hangings from the bedroom to the living room,

Add that bed throw to the back of the sofa for an all new comfortable look,

Put the scatter rugs from the bedroom into a different bedroom or in the living room,

Move that picture that you are getting tired of looking at to the entrance way and put a small table or trunk below it,

Add flowers to the dining room or kitchen tablemake them silk flowers so they last longer and you can use them in another room later,

Take a bowl, pitcher, or fancy plate, set a candle on it and a few artificial flowers, pine cones or potpourri for an all new look,

Hang an extra mirror in the closet,

Change the lamps from one room to another, people will think they are brand new,

Hang a little ribbon or raffia around the base of a lamp or the lamp shade in the bedroom for a new look,

Hang a fancy kitchen towel on the handle for the stove to brighten the room,

Use potholders under the items on your kitchen counter,

There are so many more ways of adding color and rearranging your home that I am sure now that you have a few hints, you have thought of a dozen more. I would love to hear about these, I am never too old to learn. Now that you have a new look, sit back and relax and enjoy.

Your family and friends will think you are a genius and will ask you where and when you purchased things that you have had all along.

You will be surprised at how much it will add to the new bright appearance of your home.
